TX For All Coalition Condemns Lege Passage of SB 1750 & SB 1933
Why Doesn’t the TX Republican Party Care About Local Government Anymore?
Full statement from Texas For All Coaltion’s Executive Director Sissi Yado follows:
“Texas For All strongly condemns the passing of SB 1933 & SB 1750 by the Texas State Legislature. These bills threaten to undermine our democratic processes by centralizing power and reducing local control.
The potential for partisan manipulation of elections in our country’s third largest county is not only deeply concerning but is a direct assault on our democratic values.
We denounce this move as a dangerous attempt to prioritize individual partisan gain over the collective rights and voice of our communities. Texas deserves better.”
